Drama Program
At LWGMS, the drama program is not extra-curricular; it is an indispensable piece of the curriculum. Every student has an on-stage role in at least one show per year. The emphasis that we place on the power that comes from being a confident public speaker is manifested in our drama program. Creating a play as a team is a valuable opportunity for teaching and learning – it is the ultimate cooperative learning experience. The process is filled with opportunities for social and emotional learning and the personal growth that results from meeting challenges and taking appropriate risks. We believe that the process the girls engage in when producing a play together is absolutely essential to their learning.
