anyone have any ideas about the end of year party? i am happy to coordinate and just would love to hear your ideas re locations and dates and coach appreciation gifts. i imagine that a pizza party may be popular, but again if you have other ideas, let's hear em!!

Pizza party sounds fine
I suggest we do it on the 29th as there is an LWGMS event on the 30th, then there is the 31st, then we are having a party at our house on the 1st.
I have some slight concern about homework given there is an eve LWGMS event on the 30th, so an early post game party for dinner seems good.
I don't know that many pizza places for groups. Maybe there is something in the U district or which would be reasonably central to many families (?)
Gift cards to Trader Joes might be a nice gift for coaches.

although it would be convenient to have the party after the last game, BUT that is the same evening that the volleyball has their jamboree which will go into the evening i believe. elena will be participating in that event and there may be others who play for both teams. does anyone have any objections to setting the end of year party in early november instead? like nov 10th for example. that first week of nov will likely be busy with election night furor and the aftermath (otherwise the 5th is possible) and the volleyball team has its party on the thursday, nov 6.
i will collect donations for the coach gift. please consider giving 5 to 10$$. a gift card sounds great. and how about a piece of lwgms logowear??

We cannot help out (other than financially) with a party on a Monday night, but that date or week is something we could likely make work for Cassie
I would love to get the coach LWGMS logowear, but it is not in stock, right? If I am wrong or we could get it in time, that is certainly my first choice.

Thanks for your offer to organize. I remember we had a pizza party at All- purpose pizza on Jackson and about 30th one year… Pagliacci Pizza on Madison and 14th would also be quite close to the school -they have a back room available. I suppose we could even consider a lunch party at the school for the team if the coaches could make it. That way we are not taking up another evening…
I think a LWGMS windbreaker, (like the one Patti was wearing at the last game) or sweatshirt would be a very nice gift for the coaches.

we are workign on having the end of year party during lunch at school one day in the second week of november, either the 10th or the 13th. the date depends on when the two coaches are free. the parents will provide lunch and dessert. the gifts for the two fantastic coaches logowear. please contribute to jan at tomorrow's game.
