How and Why
At LWGMS, in order to keep tuition low and foster a sense of community, parents and guardians perform many of the tasks that help the school run. We have listed the things that we know will need to be done, and are asking each family to take one job. Some are huge and some are simple, but each job is important. Some families may choose to take more than one job since each adult may have different skills and interests. Every family will have a job, and some will have more than one.
In addition to these jobs, we expect that:
Cleaning: Each family will sign up to help clean the school at least once a year (small groups of parents will clean the school once a month);
Carpools: Because our girls go on so many field trips, it is essential that adults be available to drive carpools. If you can plan ahead to take a day off work for a field trip, you would be much appreciated AND you would have fun getting to know some of your daughter's classmates.
Teacher appreciation lunches: Each month, a group of four or five families brings lunch for the school staff. By the end of the year, each family should have helped to provide lunch one time.
Other: Our teachers will need help throughout the year in other ways that cannot be predicted ahead of time; we know that everyone will pitch in when the need arises.

2. Conne will look at everyone’s choices and attempt to give each family a job they want and can commit to doing. If your name is not yet on this list, please let Conne know which jobs you are doing or would like to do.
