2) Add ¿Qué tiempo hace? (weather exchange) to your dialogue. Read dialogue with a friend to make sure that it is organized and flows smoothly. This is the final part of your dialogue!!!!
3) If you are planning the re-take your geography vocabulary quiz…..STUDY!!! Remember your scores will be averaged.

A. Today we worked on sharing where you are from and asking someone else where they are from.
//¿De dónde eres? Where are you (inf) from? ¿Eres de _? Are you from _?
Soy de Paraguay. - I am from Paraguay.
Juan es de Seattle. - Juan is from Seattle.
Eres de Colombia. - You (informal) are from Colombia.//
These sentences can be turned into questions just by inserting the upside-down quesiton mark at the begining.
ex. ¿Juan es de Seattle? Is Juan from Seattle?
B. We also worked on "days of the week" dialogue.
//Ex. Hoy es lunes (Today is Monday) Mañana es martes (Tomorrow is Tuesday)
¿Qué día es hoy? (What day is today?)//
TAREA
1) Insert Days of the Week and Where are you from? exchanged into the dialogue that you have been working on.

We have officially started the "Amigas" project. A combined effort between Humanities and Spanish class. In Spanish class we will be working on your country maps and cultural component. This will go along with your new grammatical concept ¿De dónde eres? (Where are you from?)
tarea
Today in class you made an outline of your country map. You will be drawing a topographical map of your country. This means that you will include the following:
1) capital and 2 other major cities
2) bodies of water (major rivers and lakes)
3) mountain ranges
4) indicate plains, jungles and/other other major changes in altitude or vegetation ( do this by symbols and colors ie. brown triangles for mountains, dark green squiggles for jungle)
5) Map MUST BE COLORED. DO NOT USE MARKERS!!!!!!!
6) Do not write in labels we will type and glue them in in class.

The songs sound wonderful! I am sure we will be a great success on the radio.
¿De dónde eres? Where are you from? is the next topic you will be adding to your dialogue. Because of this we will be learning about the geography of the Spanish-speaking world.

1) Continue practicing your songs and focus on the first 3 verses of Mi Burro.
2) Color and label (countries and capitals) the map of South America. Use colored pencil and your textbook.
3) Make flashcards for the countries and capitals (one on each side)
There is no Spanish tomorrow so this is due on Wed. .

Today we worked on the "alfabeto/abecedario".
We also went on the computer and learned how to insert accents and Spanish punctuation into typed work.
(go to insert, then symbols and search for letter or punctuation) Over time you will learn the short-cut keys to use and your work will go a lot faster.
Tarea/Homework
1) Practice the spanish alphabet. We will be going over it in class tomorrow.
2) Start typing your corrected Spanish dailogue. We will be adding information to it in the next few days. Make sure you add accents and the correct punctuation.
