The MI FAMILIA projects look great!!! Everyones family is unique and special. I can't wait to go over them more carefully tomorrow.
Tarea
Now that you've plotted out the family member that you want to include in your family tree. You are going to spend some time putting in a background and label.
1) color in the background of your project with foliage (leaves, twigs, flowers etc.)
2) Type out a label that says MI FAMILIA and glue it on the the paper.
Its done!!!

Tarea
1)Using the large piece of lined paper I gave you today map out your family tree.
2) We went over the proper symbols and order to use when representing your family members today in class.
circles = women
squares = girls
men on the left of the couple
children in order of age from left to right
3)Each photo or drawing of the family member should be framed (glued on to) to a colored piece of paper in the shape of the gender.
4)Names of family members should be typed
Suggestions: Map it out first in pencil to make sure that you've left enough room

4) We will be working on a Famiy Tree project. Bring in photos or drawings representing the family members in your family tree.
think about the vocabulary that we are covering in this chapter when gathering your photos. ***Please DO NOT bring photos that are precious! Photocopy those special pictures because we will be cutting and pasting them.

-you may decorate the picture side of the postcard using whatever materials you like (EXCEPT MARKERS) but the picture
must be pertinent to the city and country you are from.

We are starting a postcard project.
1) Write the first draft of your letter. Introduce yourself, write about your city, school, classes, interests etc.
You may be from a different country and city but it must be a REAL location.
Use the letters/descritpions on pages 142,143, & 149 as guides.

Welcome back!
This year will be structured in much the same way as last year. Classroom expectations and procedure will be the same however, a larger portion of class will be taught in Spanish. Students will be expected to use Spanish in class on a more consistent basis.
The first week and a half of school will be spent on review. Please spend time on CLASSZONE when you can to brush up on last year's content.
I am looking forward to this next school year, not only will you make great strides in Spanish but hopefully we'll have a great time too!
