Speech Assignment

Middle of the Middle of the Middle!
7th graders are in the middle of the 7th grade year which is the middle of middle school! It's a special time, and to celebrate, each of you will write and present a speech about where you are, where you've been, and where you want to go.

In a 2-3 minute original speech, answer the following questions:

• how did you start this journey/odyssey (i.e., 6th grade)? what kind of person were you then?
• where are you now? how have you changed since the beginning of 6th grade?
• where do you want to go by the end of middle school? who do you want to be when this middle school journey is over?

Try for creativity and originality!

Due dates:
1. Written draft of your speech is due on Tuesday, Feb. 12.
2. Performance: Thursday, Feb. 14 and Friday, Feb. 15
