MINI BOOK ASSIGNMENT
All of the information below is in your syllabus, which was handed out on the first day of class.
Your final project for the Writing from Life class is a mini-book. This book must include the following elements:
o Cover page with title, author’s name, and artwork
o Table of contents
o About the author page
o Three polished pieces
This book will be graded as follows:
Required elements included (cover page, table of contents, about the author page, three polished pieces) 10
Editing and revision from originals 10
Total of rubric scores for each piece 24
Effort put into project / look of book 16
TOTAL 60
This book is 60% of your final grade for the class.
The other 40% comprises class participation (20%) and complete and on-time assignments, including turning in all writing at the end of the term (20%).
In summary, on November 19 you should turn in
1) Mini-book with all required elements outlined above
2) ALL DRAFTS of writing you did this term – originals and revisions.
